Menagesha National Forest(About 110 km from Addis Ababa)
Departing west from Addis Ababa, drive to the Menagesha National Forest for some hiking. Here you will enjoy the wildlife, such as the colobus monkeys and endemic Menelik’s bushbuck, as well as birds, including the endemic Ethiopian oriole and Abyssinian woodpecker. You can also stop at the Gefersa Reservoir, which supplies water to Addis Ababa, and is a nice birdwatching and wildlife spot. Return to Addis Ababa in the afternoon.

Holy Trinity Cathedral Church
Holy Trinity Cathedral, known in Amharic as Kidist Selassie, is the highest ranking Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Cathedral in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was built to commemorate Ethiopia's liberation from Italian occupation and is the second most important place of worship in Ethiopia, after the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Axum. The cathedral bears the title 'Menbere Tsebaot', or 'Pure Altar'. Emperor Haile Selassie I and his consort the Empress Menen Asfaw are buried in the north transept of the cathedral.
National Museum
The National Museum of Ethiopia was established upon the idea of preserving the nation’s movable heritage, conduct research and education and assist to pass such heritage to future generations’. It is the home to the famous ‘Dinknesh’ or as popularly known ‘Lucy’ i.e. the three million years old human ancestor and other hominid which date back million years.
Shero-Meda
Shero-Meda is the place where you can find the unique and beautiful traditional clothes with different designs. Here you can also observe while the weavers are weaving and selling the products in the nearby to their weaving place.
Entoto Mountain
It is found in the highest peak of Addis Ababa with an altitude of 3200 meters, Entoto was the seat for the first palace of emperor Menelik-II, the founder of Addis Ababa where he could simply control the city and protect from enemies. Emperor Minilik was crowned in Entoto Mariam Church which also consists a Museum with the Emperor’s and his wife properties. You will admire the spectacular view of the city with its surrounding from Entoto.
Merkato
Merkato which got its name from the Italian language is the largest open air market in east Africa. Here you will be presented with noisy and confusing, but fascinating, glimpse of the vast range of goods and artifacts available from all parts of the country and you will enjoy the Ethiopian trade exchange tradition in the open air. There is nothing that you can’t find in Merkato so, you can purchase anything you desire.
